Hi there!
It’s nice to meet you!
My name is Amorita Sjogren, also known as Miss Amorita. I am the proud owner of Little Wonders Daycare, which I founded in November 2022. While I am the primary caregiver on a day-to-day basis, I am fortunate to have a certified assistant who works part-time a few days each week.
With over 10 years of experience working with children, my background includes nannying, coordinating children’s ministry classrooms at church, and serving as a CASA. I've had the privilege of working with children from newborns to 13 years old. I absolutely love working with kids—it's truly amazing to watch them grow and learn every day.
Our Philosophy
Children
We believe that children learn best through play.
We believe that each child deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.
We believe that children have innate abilities to wonder, imagine, and create.
We believe that play encourages cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in children.
We believe that children are precious gifts from God.
Families
We believe in the family's role of caring for, nurturing, and supporting their child.
We believe that an open and cooperative relationship between parents and teachers is essential to a child's success.
We believe that families should be supported in their goals and dreams for their children.
Curriculum
We believe in a play-based curriculum.
We believe in a curriculum that strives to meet the individual needs of each child.
We believe in a curriculum that encourages growth in social skills, self-regulation, cognitive skills, self-care, and motor skills.
We believe in the teacher's role of providing a positive and safe environment for children to learn by doing, making mistakes, trying again, and rising above challenges.
We believe in the teacher's role of guiding the learning process for a child by understanding the child's individual learning style, interests, and personality.
